Here we have the most
widely recognised of the First Class chinaware as used on the White Star
Line's RMS Titanic and RMS Olympic.
It is commonly known as the Wisteria pattern (from the Chinese climbing
plant of the same name) although it is sometimes referred to as the
"Brownfield" pattern or less elegantly just "turquoise and brown".
The
pattern was never formally named and has come to be much loved by RMS
TITANIC and White Star Line enthusiasts.
The original items were made by many "potters" in the Stoke on Trent
district of Staffordshire England and the Liverpool company Stoniers
& Co., whose name is often on the back of this type of china were merely
supply agents to the White Star Line.

The Backstamp which is common for both the
Wisteria and Gothic Arch items.
Just as the White Star Line did over a century ago we have chosen British
craftsmen from the Potteries to recreate a truly elegant product.
Note the 24K gold edging exactly the same as the original items. |
