Wisteria Plate

It is probable that the first class service consisted of not one but two patterns.
This Wisteria pattern plate is never seen in a large (dinner) size.
 It is generally accepted that this style was probably a side plate to the larger "gothic arch" plate. 

This plate is dated 08/1906

The "gothic arch " pattern is also seen on bowls but never on smaller plates, cups, etc.

Availability: rarely seen on the open market
 

This picture shows how the smaller Wisteria pattern plate sits on the larger "Gothic Arch" plate. This may have been how the plates were used.

It is possible that the smaller Wisteria plate is a a side or salad plate with the larger "Gothic Arch" plate being used as a dinner plate.

    The larger plate is dated 08/1906 and therefore could be a "pair" with the same dated Wisteria plate above.
