First Class
White Star Line
Triple Dish
Totally
Original
Absolutely No Restoration
$5000
which includes full postage anywhere
in the world!
E-mail
Titanic Mementos
This is the very famous and
very rare "Wisteria" pattern triple dish. Exactly
the same items were used on board the Titanic and other ships
of the line including the RMS Olympic.
Steamship china is much
valued as most of it carries the shipping line logo
as this one does. The pattern work and gold
detailing are exceptionally good for an item that is
100 years old.
The bowl is exactly as
manufactured - it has not been restored.
There are a couple of quite
unnoticeable manufacturing faults which are
typical for this type of item
The back stamp showing the
original registration numbers is to the left and
also shows the ship's victuallers name "Stonier &
Co. Ltd, Liverpool.
This is a true and very rare example
which very, very rarely comes on the open market.
At the Henry Aldridge
auction in September 2007 a dish exactly the same as
the one offered here and very, very heavily
(and poorly) restored from a reported smashed
condition with very poor enamelling was sold for
$1750!
As with all Titanic related
items this will appreciate in value over the coming
years and can be considered an excellent investment.
I need not say it is not to
be missed!

rare you will not do better than this!

White Star Line
Green Laurel Leaf
Crescent Dish
Totally
Original
No cracks or chips
Absolutely No Restoration
$ 1200
which includes full postage anywhere
in the world!
Its difficult to know where to
start with this item as I really do not know what to
call it!
I have only ever seen about
half a dozen items before in this pattern so I would
conclude it is quite rare - to say the least!
This is an item for very serious collectors only.
Obviously it is a White Star
Line crescent dish with the famous OSNC log
displayed in the center of the dish.
The pattern consists of a
thick gold line which, although cannot be seen
in the photograph, contains a "Greek Key" design. On
the outer edge is a solid gold line.
All of the detailing is in excellent condition with
no loss or flaking.
There is little crazing
although some glaze "cracks" can be seen around the
OSNC mark which contain some very minor staining.
On the reverse is the usual
White Star Line cipher sitting above the supply
agents - "Stonier & Co. Ltd. Liverpool"
Beneath is the quite
recognizable "BISTO" winged makers mark which has
been over-stamped with at least three deliberate
makers impressions.
The registration number is
589223 as can be seen at the base and indicates
manufacture contemporary to the Titanic.

Here we have a beautiful example of
this much loved White Star Line china pattern. The cup is in
absolutely perfect condition with no

and in fact is one of the best
examples we have seen.
Demitasse cups in this pattern are ultra rare and
this one is the first I have seen. It is not to be
missed!
The
cup exhibits the Stonier & Co. Liverpool cipher on
the base of each item together with the normal registration
marks.

A wonderful example of this
striking White Star Line tableware.
The same pattern as the above cup but this is the
even rarer black variant with very few ever to see
the light of day
As can be seen from the lower picture it has the
usual White Star Line backstamp and accompanying
Stonier and Co. Liverpool cipher.
Like the cup above this saucer is in absolute tip
top condition and should be snapped up quickly.

White Star Line
RMS Majestic Book
$925
which includes full postage
and insurance anywhere in the world!
The book is original and almost 9 inches
wide, 7 inches deep and 5/8 inches thick.
It is of substantial manufacture.
There are no inscriptions of defacements and
was produced when the Majestic was built.
There are many interior photographs which
are real photographs, not printed.
The cover is hard card, stiff and robust and
the 32 (double sided pages are printed on
card with a photograph on alternative pages.
The photographs show the level of luxury
particularly in the first class areas with
shots of the cabins and public areas such as
the Palm Court, the Restaurant, Drawing Room
etc.
In the back of the book there are lists of
the services available - American,
Australasian, Canadian and the tenders used
(Nomadic and Traffic - the same that served
the Titanic). Principal Offices and agencies
of the White Star Line are listed.
The book is in excellent condition with no
tears or rips but with age foxing as would
be expected.
It
is
a a real gem, a lovely and exceptional item.

White Star
Line
RMS Olympic
Gold Commemorative Spoon
Sold!
which includes full postage
anywhere in the world!
Here we have a commemorative
gold spoon from the famous RMS Olympic, older sister
to the RMS Titanic.
It is 4 1/2 inches (115 mm)
long.
The name "RMS Olympic" is
engraved in the bowl.
On the back of the shank is a
small stamp mark - "OTC"
As you can see in the bottom
right picture there is a small section of enamel
loss that does not detract from the artist's work.
For the sake of completeness I
have included a side full length picture. I am not
sure if the curve in the shank is supposed to be
there or not and hence have reduced the price
according.
It is a beautiful little item.

Extremely Rare
Cunard Steamship Company Limited.
Circa 1900
Minton's
Demitasse Cup & Saucer
$325
which includes
full postage anywhere in the world!
This
is a very rare Cunard demitasse cup and saucer from
the steamship line that was in direct competition to
the White Star Line. The item is of the most
delicate white porcelain and it is remarkable that
it has survived this long without being chipped.
From the book "British Porcelain and Pottery Marks"
this item is dated 1891 - 1902.
Both cup and saucer show the
Minton's globe and crown stamp that can be seen on
the base of the cup to the left.
There is a faint hairline visible on the saucer (see
picture) and what appears to be a small
hairline in the base of the cup.
A wonderful little item!
